Looks like an interesting night of television for me.
First off, I happened across a show on TLC called Virgin Diaries
: "profiles of adults who are sexually inexperienced" according to the cable guide. (actually, I just caught the last few minutes of that, but I see it's on again later tonight, so I'll prolly check it out, considering, you know, my personal connection. haha).
Then when flipping through channels to get away from the episode of the horrid "toddlers and tiaras" that came on TLC next, I happened across:Curiosity: Why is Sex Fun?
on a channel I've never really paid much attention to called "Planet Green".(evidently this is something associated with the Discovery Channel).
Anyhow, I'm currently watching this program, and typing this entry during the commercials.
First off, it's narrated by Maggie Gyllenhal, which definitely makes it a bit more interesting. And it is a program that explores in particular, the nature of the female orgasm. Everything from the neurological effects during orgasm (through brain scans), to the anatomical and physiological process of the female orgasm (including the interaction of the interior clitoris).
Of course, aside from Ms. Gyllenhal (I think I'm misspelling that, but y'all know who i mean), the program is chock full of old scientists with heavy german accents, and is geared toward the science of sex, so it's not something to watch in order to get you feeling frisky. But I found it profoundly informative, and I've always had an interest in the topic of female orgasm, despite not personally engaging in any "in the field research" on the subject. haha.
